Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate a flatbed or box truck for delivery purposes
- Load and unload freight using manual or mechanical equipment
- Follow delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely deliveries
- Communicate effectively with customers and provide excellent customer service
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel usage
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles preferred
- Ability to operate a flatbed or box truck safely and effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members
- Knowledge of mechanical systems and ability to perform basic vehicle maintenance
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight
Note: Experience in bus driving, limousine, or paratransit services may be considered relevant experience for this position.
